Host FAQ How are my meetings arranged? Meetings are arranged using sophisticated matching technology. Once you have been approved to participate you will receive instructions on how to log into the matching system and start to schedule your meetings. Do I get to pick who I want to meet with? Yes, you will be able to review the Guests who are attending the event and based on the categories they select, you may request meetings with them. What if I DON'T want to meet with someone? If there is a Guest that you do not want to meet with then you have the option of not meeting with them. If that Guest requests a meeting with you, you will have the option to decline the meeting invitation, no questions asked. Will I have time to prepare for my meetings? Yes, you will receive a complete schedule of meetings one week prior to the event along with a dossier of the Guests you will be connected with so that you can prepare accordingly. How do you qualify Guests? Guests are qualified on multiple levels, the first being a preliminary screening questionnaire to garner corporate background information, needs for the coming year, and level of purchasing power. Once Guests pass our initial screen, we conduct a personal interview to confirm interest and commitment. Can I bring others from my company/team? Yes, each Host company may bring up to 2 qualified team members. This allows you the ability to asses more completely the meetings and connections you are making. However, multiple team members does not entitle Host company to more scheduled meetings. Is there any "free" time during the event? Yes. While the focus of the event is the scheduled meetings, ConnexLive includes networking and education with fellow hosts and guests via receptions, peer-to-peer sessions, and keynote forums. There are also ample breaks built into the schedule to allow you to check in with the office. A full schedule with times will be provided to you prior to the event. What is included in my Host package and what is the cost? Your Host package includes meeting area, 10-14 scheduled appointments with qualified buyers, all event-related meals and receptions, and access to keynote and educations sessions. Travel arrangements and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the Host company, click here to access the hotel information (link to hotel page). Once you have been accepted to participate you will receive instructions on how to log into the matching system to select who you wish to meet with. Do I get to pick who I want to meet with? Yes, you will be able to review the Hosts who are attending the event and request meetings with them. We will attempt to honor all of your specific meeting requests based on availability of Hosts. In some cases we may suggest meetings with Hosts that best match your interests/needs based on your input in order to achieve the minimum meeting threshold requirement. What if I DON'T want to meet with someone? If there is a Host that you do not want to meet with then you have the option of not meeting with them. If that Host requests a meeting with you, you will have the option to decline the meeting invitation, no questions asked. Will I have time to prepare for my meetings? That initial form is followed with a personal interview conducted by one of our senior executives. Can I bring others from my company/team? Yes you have the option to have up to 3 qualified team members (yourself included) participate in the event. This enables you to participate in meetings as a team, or to maximize your participation by scheduling individual meetings, or a combination of both. Is there any "free" time during the event? Yes. As a Guest of the event you are required to attend all of your scheduled meetings, education and networking functions. What are the travel/lodging arrangements? Guest hotel accommodations, event-related meals and receptions are covered by show management. We will reserve hotel nights in your name and work with you to determine your travel schedule details. |
